Police reports that there is frost and thick fog in Troodos area and urges drivers to be extra careful.

The road Prodromos-Troodos is closed for all vehicles, while the Karvounas-Troodos and Platres-Troodos roads are open only to vehicles equipped with four-wheel driver and/or anti-skid chains.

Pedoulas-Pinewood-Kakopetria road is slippery, police said.

The accumulation of snow is 5 cm in Troodos square and 10 cm on Olympus peak.

Drivers are urged to be particularly careful, to drive slowly, keep a safe distance from other vehicles and switch on their head lights.

They are also advised to use vehicles equipped with four-wheel drive and/or anti-skid chains.
