Residents were warned yesterday not to put away their umbrellas and raincoats just yet with more rain and storms once again threatening to ruin weekend excursions to the beach and mountains.

The meteorological services are predicting isolated storms and rain throughout the island until Sunday.Temperatures should be stable in the mid-20 degrees Celsius during the day but drop to about 15 degrees Celsius at night.

After that the weather should start to get warmer and the mean temperature could even be one degree Celsius higher than normal, according to the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecast.

But seeing how the weather is notoriously unpredictable, meteorological services are warning that all predictions are indicative.
