The Department of Meteorology issued today a yellow level thunderstorm warning for this evening and the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The warning is valid between 1800 today and 0500 tomorrow.

It says that heavy thunderstorms will be affecting the area and shower rates may exceed 35 mm per hour.
