Heavy hail on Limassol-Paphos highway near Avdimou

Police are urging drivers on the Limassol-Paphos highway to be particularly careful because of adverse weather conditions.

They said the road near Avdimou-Pissouri is very slippery because of the accumulation of hail on the road surface in both directions.

Drivers are urged to drive slowly and have their headlights on.

Road closed in Troodos mountains because of rockslides

The Troodos- Karvounas road is closed to traffic in both directions because of rockslides as a result of heavy rain, police said on Saturday afternoon.

Drivers should avoid the road.

Clean-up crews are on their way, police added.
