Rain and the first snow on Troodos fell on Wednesday morning, but the rainy weather will not last, the met office announced in the early afternoon.
“There have been five centimetres of snow in Troodos, but not much more is expected. The weather will slowly clear in the afternoon, with only a little rain expected in the evening,” met officer Michalis Mouskos said. “During the next four days, from Thursday until Sunday, there will be no rain at all. The strong northerly winds don’t help.”
He said that on Wednesday and Thursday, temperatures are forecast to be five degrees lower than usual, reaching 14C inland and 16C at the coast.
On Friday and Saturday it will gradually get warmer.
